Job Description
AA Medical, a premier same day medical delivery service, currently seeking 1099 Independent contractors to join our team as a Medical Couriers based in Lenexa, KS. Deliveries are local and regional, that are set up on a day to day basis. We offer a competitive reimbursement plan. This position is responsible for transporting medical products such as instrumentation, supplies and implants to and from customer’s sites.
This position requires that you drive your own vehicle (Mini Van, SUV or Truck). Fuel and Maintenance is at contractors expense.
Pay is based on a mileage from Pickup to Destination plus surcharge.
Description:
Both full time and part time positions available — all shifts
1099 Contractor delivery experience preferred but not required

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
2+ years experience in a driver/courier role preferred
Medical courier experience strongly preferred
2007 or newer vehicle
Commitment to Excellence
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, climbing and overhead lifting.
Punctual/On time
Responsibilities include :
Inspect delivery vehicle daily ensuring all supplies are present, cleanliness, it is in proper operating condition and in compliance with all state and local laws
Package and deliver blood products to service area clients or to other transportation agencies
Run errands, deliver documents, pick up supplies and transport small items for repair
Load/unload and deliver materials to and/or from the branch and customers
Operate hand truck to move shipments
Requirements :
Requires sharp attention to detail and a strong ability to keep a schedule
Must be able to pass a criminal background and motor vehicle record check.
Fluent English language skills
Certification for transporting blood and platelets (Class Available)

Job Description
Job Purpose:
To manage the on-time delivery of all deliveries using all resources available. The dispatcher will assign orders, follow up on couriers and resolve issues. This person will seek to improve current processes, and implement any new procedures that will help better serve our customers.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Ability to give clear and concise instructions via written and verbal mediums
Capacity to make decisions in a high stress environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands multiple times throughout the day
Ability to work flexible schedule between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Available to work occasional night/weekend hours
High School Diploma or GED
Duties:
Customer service
Order entry/order follow through
Dispatching jobs to drivers
Miscellaneous office tasks (filing, data entry, report composition, special projects)
